After the impact of the Coronavirus last year, my kindergarten students are really beginning to learn how to socialize for the first time. I use collaborative learning strategies to make the environment fun and engaging. While students participate in small groups, I find that they are happiest when engaging with other students while completing work together in a group. This furniture set would allow for students to buddy-read, play academic learning games, and fully interact with one another while learning. Creating a comfortable space for the students to engage and learn is my biggest priority, especially after those opportunities were taken from us due to the pandemic.
