Flexible seating allows students to learn without letting their wiggles get the best of them. Currently my students are not able to move as much in my classroom as I’d like (covid restrictions), making it harder for students who really benefit from that mobility. Making sure students are getting to move is key in making sure my students learn. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are able to move to the teachers swivel chair, because they are able to spin and still focus on their task. Because the chairs wouldn’t fit well with their desks, I feel the wobble chairs would be very similar in giving students the chance to move and focus at the same time. The wobble chairs and Hokki stools that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools will allow students to sit at desk/higher tables but will still allow some movement. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! The comfy floor seats are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. I have seen how flexible seating can positively affect my students work and demeanor and I hope to be able to give them that with your help!
