My students are so excited to be back in the art classroom. They want to experience creating art by utilizing a variety of mediums to express themselves! The Nevada Academic Content Standard, Creating: Conceiving and developing new artistic ideas and work, is something we address daily. In order to create and develop new artistic ideas and work, students are provided a variety of materials to explore to create artwork that is meaningful to them. VA:Cr2.3.1, asks students to create personally satisfying artwork using a variety of artistic processes and materials. In providing these materials for students they will be able to reach their goals in developing their ideas, finding new ways to express themselves , and to create personally satisfying artwork using a variety of art processes and materials. This project will give my students an opportunity to explore a variety of materials and processes that they may not have experienced before due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My students are craving the opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas in new ways. This project will give students the chance to learn new ways to express themselves artistically and grow as artists.
