These resources promote standard: "1.PCE.K.1: Identify a variety of healthy practices and behaviors to maintain or improve personal, community, and environmental health" by having a variety of sensory objects, students will be able to maintain social distancing by having their own set of items to aide and support their emotional/behavioral health. Having puzzles and objects to manipulate will allow students to achieve standard: "K.CC.A.3: Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects)." Many of the students are nonverbal and require visual and tactile resources to achieve understanding within these concepts. Many of the students have not yet achieved mastery in identifying upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet. Having puzzles and objects to manipulate will help students to demonstrate mastery of standard: "RF.K.1d: Recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet."
