Positive reinforcement allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, students who have completed an assignment can choose an educational program or game on the Galaxy tablet that works for them. Currently, my students are choosing to read books or complete assignments that might not be at their level. Making sure students are working at an independent level is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given choices of assignments. With the Galaxy tablet, students often try an application or educational game that gives them the opportunity to expand their learning. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given choices! They feel independent and successful often calling to my attention how they are advancing and how good it makes them feel. The product that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional learning options which will make learning first-grade skills across the board fun. These Galaxy tablets are user-friendly and inspirational for students to behave well in class and complete assignments in a timely manner. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students' attitudes and it is my hope that the additional options that these Galaxy tablets will help us grow even more!
