The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go.”— Dr. Seuss, Reading is fundamental and in fact, one of the most important ingredients to becoming all that you can be. I want my scholars to be all that they can be so I want them to read as much as possible and to enjoy reading. Most of my scholars do not have books at home to read, or if they do, they don't have anyone to read books to them. This plays a major role in their reading deficiencies. Currently, my scholars are one to two grade levels behind and I want to help catch them up. Reading develops your brain, provides a window into the world around you and helps you do better in all school subjects. So not only do I want my scholars to improve in reading but in all of their school subjects. Most importantly, reading can not only help them become a better student but better people. These books and materials can help give my scholars an amazing gift - Reading.
