The overhead projector is so helpful when reading books. Explaining charts, maps and graphs will be easier. Picture books come to life in a large size and way. All the students get to share the experience at the same time. This will encourage a conversation and interaction with everyone in the classroom. My school does not have a projector like this. There are social studies pictures that I will be able to project directly from books. This is especially helpful to those that are visual learners and cannot concentrate on a computer alone. The projector will create a community of one.
