My struggling readers have many materials, but the kids who can't get enough to read, who have vanquished hundreds of familiar titles, who live in our rural community and have never met a refugee from the middle east, would benefit from reading the book Everything Sad is Untrue by Daniel Nayeri. Other students are reading our term novel for four more weeks, but these kids are ready for something more to analyze and discuss. These eager readers will explore what it means to leave one world for another. Please help us acquire this resource. We have so many books for kids who struggle or who read at grade level, but we really need additional titles for those who are aspiring higher. Thank you for considering us.
