Readers Workshop, engage in reading, build stamina through an interest in reading Writers workshop- write about what they read, draw, label, write. My students will read and write about text. We will discuss current events and promote conversation. Students will include families in reading activities as they bring current events and literacy to the home. Parents will encourage discussion at home while supporting learning in the classroom. Students will improve on their vocabulary by reading new material. They will then start to use, speak, and understand new words in their life.
