These books are going to be used to update our classroom library. The students are tired of some of the outdated books that were donated to me ten years ago by retiring teachers. While they give us great inspiration of words, and glimpses into the past, they aren't the classic stories that the students go to for comfort when they are feeling sad and need a good laugh. Or when they want to feel the confidence of knowing that they can read they pick up a book they are familiar with. These new books will help update our library with those wants and needs that my students are requesting. These are also books that we will use in our class for our comprehension and writing lessons for our reading program, and will put physical books in mine and the students hands instead of just watching them read on YouTube.
