These growth mindset reading selections will inspire 21 students to develop a sense of pride in their learning abilities. We know that Covid has many students developing a great deal of social anxieties and emotional feelings about returning to the classroom. This project will aide in helping children acknowledge those anxieties and feelings as well as providing strategies for them to use to appropriately handle those emotions. My goal is to provide students the opportunity to make self to text connections with literature, open discussions on how they can relate to individual characters/problems and a realization that their learning community has the same emotions they may have.

About my class
