In order to be fully prepared for this career, my students need the knowledge, skills and abilities required to handle calls for service from the community and then dispatch information to our field responders. In the classroom and dispatch lab, my students are able to practice their classroom skills on our lab computers. However, it has been difficult to demonstrate. By purchasing these materials, I will be able to mount large screens on my classroom wall in order for all students to watch and learn how to accurately create and prepare calls for service. I will also ensure that the CAD is more readily available with the backup power supplies as we have had many issues with power surges. One of the standards this equipment would address is Emergency Telecommunications Content Standard 4.0 - Telecommunications Technology
