This project will help students gain a positive math mindset by helping them to visually see and physically touch math manipulatives. Students will understand the basic principles of math faster and better by physically playing with the manipulatives and visually seeing the colorful manipulatives. They will enjoy playing games with each other and not even realize they are building their math fluency along with cooperative learning skills. Students will practice counting forwards, backwards, counting on, one more, one less, making ten, twenty and understanding place value to the hundreds.
