In 1st grade, our priority is learning how to build words to develop reading and writing. I am trying to find ways other than the whiteboards to encourage writing. I feel that incorporating the white manic boards will create an excitement for learning. My students are very eager to learn. Most come from a small low-income suburban area so they struggle with getting the materials needed to provide learning. I am excited to see the learning that will take place. My goal is to provide effective writing strategies.
