Our class is made up of developmentally delayed 3-year-old PreK students. For the majority of my students, it is their first time away from home and their first time in a school environment. Learning to navigate an elementary school campus may seem daunting to our littlest Learners when they first join our class. Our class has students with many needs: some of my students are nonverbal, some wear leg braces, some of my students are on the Autism spectrum, but all of my students need help with their gross motor skills and learning how to navigate an elementary school campus! This obstacle course will be a fantastic tool to help our nonverbal students learn prepositional words (such as over, under, first, and last,) we will be working on social skills (such as taking turns, and waiting,) and developing students' gross motor skills all in a safe environment! Donors Choose can provide our class with the perfect tool needed to prepare our littlest Learners for everyday school routines!
