I am requesting books to increase literacy through reading about history! World History covers everything from ancient civilizations all the way through to the modern world around us! In my classroom, I strive to get the kids reading as much as possible. This starts with finding topics in history that pique their interests. "Read about what interests you, as long as you are reading!" This is the motto in my classroom over the last few years. Little by little, I am building my classroom library and the books on this list would drastically make a difference to my kiddos reading about what they find interesting and intriguing.
