Our school uses a platform that awards students points for their actions and efforts. We focus on safety, respect, and responsibility and award points for things like helping others, asking questions, and engaging in lessons. The students respond well to positive feedback and are highly incentivized by gaining points. Each week, they are eager to check their total points in class. With the points they earn, students are able to purchase items that they requested from the student store. Students expressed interest in sports, crafts, anime, and food. We also included activities that students can participate in during lunch, which promote community building. Building a student store filled with goodies will reinforce the positive culture at our school!
