I have carefully chosen books that will help my students achieve mastery with Informational, Literature, and Reading Foundational standards. These include, but are not limited to, RL and RI 1.10 reading grade 1 level texts and RF.1.4 (Read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.) My students need appropriate level reading material to practice skills at their individual levels. I have also chosen materials that will support their social emotional growth. Many of the titles involve making friends and handling conflicts or other social topics. I have also included a variety of information texts as these tend to be more difficult for students. After a year of distance learning, they need additional support in this area.
