Many of the books will be used to create differentiated books clubs within the classroom. Some will be added to our classroom library. The students will be able to collaborate with their peers and share what they learned about in the stories they read together. I strategically choose books that are at different levels. I plan on giving the students' book club journals that will guide student conversations and thinking. When the students finish a book, they will write their review and share it with their 2nd-grade peers. These activities will encourage the students to read for a purpose and help them develop as lifelong readers!
