I teach a k-5 multi-grade classroom. We struggle to keep supplies and materials sorted which leads to children mingling in clusters to find their things. Better organization will eliminate this potential for germ exposure. With individual cubbies, the students will be better organized and more successful. Having all their items in a designated safe space will allow students to take charge of their success. Too many students struggle to keep track of their texts, writing utensils, and unfinished assignments. A space of their own will give them a sense of security many have nowhere else.
