Currently, our campus gym and playground has limited adaptive equipment for use by our students with gross motor challenges. This often makes it difficult for them to be included in gross motor activities with peers. The equipment chosen for this project will allow all the children to play together while helping those with disabilities develop the strength and balance necessary for crawling and eventually walking. It is essential to their mental health and development of social skills to interact with peers during free play. These items will foster growth in all students in multiple early developmental areas.
