My students need the experience of sitting on someone's lap and learning. Lap reading introduces valuable communication skills, improves vocabulary, and delivers information about the world around them. Lap reading fosters social and emotional development as children are learning with someone that they love and trust! I want to give my kids the gift of a "Human Laptop" by offering them resources that they can take home and share with a family member. The Scholastic magazines, Let's Find Out, My Big World with Clifford, and Science Spin, are the perfect choice! The kids will develop reading and vocabulary skills through these magazines that contain a wealth of appropriate science and social studies topics that are appropriate for their age group!
