The laptop and projector will allow me to provide video modeling of how to handle difficult situations. Social Emotional Learning is developed both by experience and by example. Without models to emulate, students may not be aware of more effective approaches to coping with challenging people and events. These concepts support the health and social studies components of the Nevada State Standards. The media I select, along with targeted and effective questioning, will allow me to encourage students to think beyond the four walls they're sitting in and recover from the pandemic by developing healthy relationships. There are some terrific programs that will allow students to observe events they may not find themselves in today. The You Can Choose Program by Live Wire media is one of the video modeling programs that has already been purchased for this goal.
