These products will help me provide a safe and nurturing environment for my students. At this time, I have been buying all social work materials out of pocket, but I want to give my students what they deserve. Some of the products will help make our guidance area welcoming, warm, and special. Some items will help to make the area sensory-friendly for my autistic students and frequent fidgeters. Other items will help me make connections from lessons to the real world through games and experiences. Donating to this project will help make my student's experience with social work services a positive and rewarding experience. My students tend to think that discussions around emotions are difficult and scary due to the reduced skill levels in that area, and these tools will help me create a positive climate in relation to social-emotional learning.
