Developing and creating our class centers would help my students develop the skills they need to create social relationships, foster language, and communication. Play can help children develop skills that are important for learning. My students will be able to explore their environment, imitate their peers, learn to share, turn taking skills, and develop problem solving skills. My students will learn how to play and use toys appropriately. Pretend play help children develop the skills they need for social relationships, language, communication. With modeling and support, my students can go from playing by themselves to playing cooperatively with their peers. Playing with their peers can help my students develop friendships and learn to initiate social interaction.
