All of these books promote the love of reading for students and meet ELA Nevada Academic Content Standards in grades K-5 in reading literature. Selected books are ones that have been lost or are very well loved and needing replacement. The books provide literature that represents a variety of cultures for our school to identify with. This is extremely important as students need to be able to recognize characters in stories that are similar to them. Students will be so excited to see new books in the school library that have been lost and that show more diversity.
