Every year, I send out a list of what students need for the up-coming year. Unfortunately, that list is not usually fulfilled. These are basic supplies needed that our district does not have a budget for. Dry erase boards, mechanical pencils, expo markers, and personal calculators are all necessary to make learning engaging, effective, and fun, yet are hard to attain. Since most families cannot afford these basic supplies, many of our teachers will end up paying out of their own pockets to ensure their students in need are afforded every opportunity as their peers. I would like to lighten the load, both financially and effort-wise for low-income families through Donorschoose to get the supplies they kids need. I appreciate any donation to help this project get funded for these kids.
