I have centers all around my classroom. I don't believe in students always sitting at a desk. They have the need to move around especially after a full year of not having hands-on learning experiences due to virtual learning. I have created some centers for them to move around and some whole-group lessons have been designed for the purposes of moving. A classroom rug will provide the space for my bilingual kinesthetic learners to learn in a way that is comfortable for their academic needs and to thrive without having to worry about a lack of space/resources. The classroom should not be limited to sitting and staying in one place. I as an educator believe that learning goes beyond the 4 corners of the desk.
