These materials will help students understand the cycle of the food chain within nature. Students will be able to dissect owl pellets and explore the things that an owl ate. They will get to search for bones and other debris that could help them understand what owls eat. Each student will receive their own owl pellet as well as the tools to dissect it. They will receive a bone mat where they can lay out the remains of any animal that the owl digested and they will get to compare with each other.
