Students with disabilities are often isolated from their peers and community because they have trouble interacting and socializing with each other. Many times, these students are unable to initiate peer interactions which inhibits them from forming meaningful relationships with their peers and school community. These games and materials will help my students engage and interact with each other through creativity and play. Art projects, gross motor games, and board games will help provide structured activities for these students to engage in and connect with each other. This will in turn promote conversations, relationships, and a sense of belonging within a group.
