Right now, we are all playing out of the same speaker system. The sound coming out of the system is a little muddled. The amps will allow us to have a big sound that can compete with the drums. It will also allow students to individually tinker with the tone, volume, and effects on the amps and find their own musical voice. Student's sound won't be drowned out. They will be able to build self-esteem through immediate feedback that isn't jumbled up with other people's outputs. This will give all of our students the opportunity to practice their own part without distractions. It will also allow us to layer new, more genre specific sounds we don't currently have. Students will have the opportunity to find their own personal sound. We have too many drummers and not enough drum sets. The extra drum set will be incredibly helpful for allowing all the drummers to participate and play in unison. We want to give every student the chance to play while also not holding students who can take the extra challenge from having the ability to do so. Multiple drum sets will allow the more advanced drummers to have the beat locked in while the people who are still learning will have a safety net of other people playing with them.
