This fiction study will help to build the listening and speaking skills of my students. They will be encouraged to read aloud and discuss their predictions with their groups. This strategy encourages them to use their own voices, but also be open to the ideas of others. In addition, the students will definitely make connections with the characters who are also entering middle school. Making connections with book characters helps with content comprehensionl When students have access to books of interest, they are more likely to be fully engaged in the content. This is why it is my hope to get more books of student interest into my ELAR classroom.
