With a diverse group of students in my classroom, I would like to provide an environment where all students feel safe and important. I am working on getting supplies and books in my library where students can express themselves and read about characters that have experienced some of the same things in life that they have. I have students that have come from Haiti, Mexico, and the middle east. I also have students from a variety of backgrounds where poverty pays a huge part in their life. I want to make sure that each and every student knows that they can be who they are and that their life is just as important as others' in the classroom.
