The students draw science concepts on our lab tables to reinforce learning and need new markers for this school year. Students are then required to discuss their drawings with other students and the teacher, allowing for collaboration to deepen content connections. I have used this technique in the past with great success. Drawing concepts allows for students to visualize their learning. Most young people are now visual learners due to the advent of social media. This technique taps into this strength and engages students in a new and exciting way! Write on the desks? Who knew!
