Many students need help honing their fine motor skills in an early primary classroom, and my students are no exception. The pandemic limited their options for preschool, so many stayed home. Parents worked with them, but also, they had to work. We've noticed a large gap in students' normal fine motor abilities. With your help, we can greatly improve the fine motor skills of my kindergarten students! The PlayDoh can be used to help improve the muscles in students tiny hands. They can mold, create, and practice their cutting skills in a safe environment. The chart paper can help, as well! By writing on a vertical surface, they will build stability and strength in their arms and shoulders. It also helps learn good wrist placement while writing.
