I teach Spanish, and we are going to learn about Mexican culture this year. Death is viewed in Mexico in a positive light that is meant to be celebrated and on the Day of the Dead, people honor those loved ones who have passed. My students will be learning about traditions that are practiced on November 1st through 2nd in Mexico. We will honor children and adults alike. I am looking for specific materials that will aid us in our making altars to honor the loved ones. Students will make their own individual altar with the paper, ribbons, and glue and will be using them all to decorate their own altar that honors their loved ones who have passed. We would love to be able to get these materials in time for the celebrations.
