For this project, we are requesting hands-on manipulatives to help provide concrete evidence when teaching important academic and life skills to students with disabilities. Students learn the most when the content provided is fun and engaging and these materials are just that! Most of what is taught must be adapted to differentiate for the variety of students so the laminating paper will come in handy in order to adapt images for students with communication and motor delays. Students will also be able to use the activity more than once if it is preserved with laminating paper. The materials mostly requested are to help students learn about different wellness and health topics such as social-emotional learning, learning through movement and exercise, learning about healthy eating, and good hygiene habits. Providing students with hands-on activities and manipulatives will help to increase understanding and learning of the same content area as other students but adapted based on individual learning levels.
