I am requesting fishing gear so that they can enjoy the outdoors. We are about to embark on our fishing unit for three weeks. We currently only have five fishing poles that we can use in our class. My biggest class size is 24 students. I am requesting four reels and rods and braided fishing line. I would love to be able to have enough poles to teach these students how to tie knots the correct way, fish the correct way and learn to love the outdoors and want to be outdoors. With more fishing poles and line the students will be able to have a fishing pole in their hand more often. I believe fishing is a great tool to connect you with nature and I get to teach the students about conservation efforts as well.
