I thought what better way for me to show kindness than by helping other teachers at my own school. It is often said that we, as adults, can't just tell kids how they should behave, but we should also model it. I heard about a need within the 3rd grade. One of their standards in ELA (English/Language Arts) has students working towards reading independently for 30 minutes. Let's be honest...this is hard for me to do (hence why I'm a PE teacher...LOL), let alone 8 and 9 years old kids. We decided that some flexible seating options would be VERY beneficial for these students to accomplish this standard, as well as, create more successful situations for learning as a whole within the classroom. You will never know the ripple effect you create with one tiny gesture of kindness. So please consider helping my kids understand the true meaning of kindness by helping us purchase these 3 different types of flexible seating.
