I've started my first year back in the classroom after a long absence without a lot of resources. I'm teaching English learners and when I arrived in my classroom I found almost no independent reading material for my 6th grade students. In order to be successful in their learning my students must have access to high interest leveled reading material. Their regular English teachers have lots of great books but most of them are of too high a reading level for my students. I also need a few copies of the same books so I can hold small reading and discussion groups.
