This donation will help my students have more resources in their music class and learn about music through the literature. Singing has been limited to avoid spread and we have been focusing in the care and practice of instruments and musical elements. My students are very motivated to have music class. For many of them this is their first interaction since the music curriculum/ program started last year (20-21) and finally they are having in person interaction. The list of materials will help my students to have the best approach and care with rhythmic and melodic instruments, as well to understand the importance how music can impact in our daily life according to literature. This will help them with the basic idea of steady beat in the songs and it also helps to build the self-esteem that they need. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build musicianship and to be able to practice socialization. All the materials will be very much appreciated and used for the best learning. With the drum students PK-3 will practice steady beat and 4-8 will practice rhythm reading and use it as a complementary instrument for our performance. Books are essential in my classroom. Story telling has been the best way for students to connect musical elements to their daily lives.
