Many of my middle schoolers are not organized and overwhelmed when they start high school. Having asked former students from the high school, what would be one thing teachers could do to help prepare you, many said, "help me get organized". Knowing this, I went online and found TeacherpayTeacher has various note-taking formats. Not every student retains information in the same way, but this way I can find the right format to fit each student's learning style. Because students have so many sheets of paper, they need to keep up with, having these sheets pre-hole punched will help save me time and students from losing important material. Having a hole puncher is a time-saver. It will allow me to focus my time on my students. Organizational skills help students far beyond middle and high school. Studies show that students who are organized, feel less stress. My students concluded it was due to being able to locate things because they are all in one place. We are all excited this year to find out if this is true!
