Our students will learn work ethics such as hard work, proper use of tools, the importance of minerals in our body, in the ground, and in plants. Through gardening, students and their families, will learn to be self sufficient, work with native Hawaiian plants, and explore fruits and vegetables that are nutritious and healthy. The tools and materials purchased will help us to get students engaged, curious, and excited about learning in the outdoors. Working in the māla ai, or "garden that you eat from", is a hands-on approach to learning.
