My students this year come to my classroom each day truly eager to learn. They have daily opportunities to work independently or in small groups to reinforce language arts, math, and science skills. They truly take their learning seriously- and are extremely eager to utilize technology to further their learning. We are fortunate to have each child set up with their own Reading Plus, Prodigy, and Freckle accounts, however our current computers are missing letter keys and take 10 minutes to load to the homescreen. These various online resources spark a continuous urge to learn - and further helps to meet our students’ individual needs and close some of the learning gaps exacerbated by virtual learning last year. But without reliable computers we are extremely limited on having our the students access these resources, and not waste precious learning time waiting for the ancient computers we have to load, not to mention the hazard of cords running everywhere because they don’t hold a charge.
