All of races, cultures, genders of the students who fill the class seats should be represented in the examples and materials they have to learn from. This library will increase representation, give students more knowledge of STEM history and careers and give teachers physical references to use with students in hopes that more of our students can see themselves in STEM. Students will use these books as references for assignments in STEM elective classes or to take and read for interest for other classes. Representation Matters. Students need to be able to identify with positive role models and examples in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in order to see what they could be and accomplish now and in the future.

About my class
