My students are all diverse learners. All of my students face frustration when reading, writing or doing math. Often my students have difficulty processing their emotions and frustrations and either shut down or lash out at others. Students will become better self advocates and better at monitoring their frustration and energy level when they have an appropriate avenue to dispel excess or negative energy. The flexible seating will allow students to choice in the classroom setting. They'll also be able to use the flexible seating as fidgets as well as the fidgets. My hope is that students learn ways to navigate difficult emotions in school by learning coping mechanisms through these tools.
