My students love learning and being able to help them with their own identities and realizing they are very special is important to their success. With a diverse group of students, it is important to teach acceptance along with ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies and Art. We will share the wonderful, culturally relevant books among three grade levels so kids can learn to appreciate who they are through literature. The students will be able to use the skin tone crayons to represent themselves better throughout the year. Other supplies such as the chart paper, dry erase markers, dry erase eraser, pocket charts, markers, pencils, and pencil sharpener will help the students learn throughout the year. I am excited to help the teachers also create anchor charts throughout the year to better represent our kids with the skin tone crayon pack. With these culturally relevant books, skin tone crayons, and everyday classroom supplies, our students will achieve great things this year.
