Our students love jamming along to the sound of our few existing Orff Sonor Xylophones. We focus on repetitive musical patterns developing rhythmic abilities, accompanied by piano and drums. What a joyful sound they make! While playing, we learn about different cultures and languages, develop empathy, focus, and an appreciation for diversity. We would benefit from the addition of these instruments in the music classroom because more students will be able to join the circle and have the ‘hands on’ experience they deserve and look forward to in Music class.

About my class
