Wobble cushions, chair bands and fidgets will absolutely keep my students busy while allowing their minds to focus as their bodies move. I use pop sheets in my classes with hyperactive students because they work well when they can pop the bubbles with one hand and write with the other. The best part about these items is that there are at least ten students who would be immediately improving in being able to focus, complete, and retain lessons they are learning. Making sure my students have the best chance at being comfortable, and moving if necessary, truly helps them gain and retain knowledge. Having the basic needs met for comfort and movement met will only show students what they can do when their brains are open to gaining any kind of new information.
