These items I chose will reward students for their great behavior. Students earn PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) points for following school expectations. PBIS teaches appropriate behavior, intervention before unwanted behaviors escalate, usage of research-based interventions, and monitoring student progress. Students are able to earn points from any teachers and staff every day. Every month they visit the store to purchase items they have earned. The store includes food items, small toys, and opportunities to work in the store or to help younger students in the school. I have also added items for school counseling. I will teach appropriate ways to handle big emotions with counseling items. I will also teach social emotional lessons using books I have chosen in my cart.
